Dan Drake
President
Mr. Drake has 20+ years of experience managing and coordinating organizations at the local and regional levels and has significant professional experience and personal interest in land restoration and preservation.
Mr. Drake was the chairman of the Midwest Mitigation Oversight Association, a conservation-based non-profit corporation established in 2007 with the sole purpose of holding and monitoring natural resource mitigation conservation easements. The Midwest Mitigation Oversight Association has been approved by the Kansas City, St. Louis, and Little Rock Districts of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as a legally-binding recipient of conservation easements for mitigation sites and currently holds easements on thousands of acres of federal mitigation parcels in Missouri and Kansas.
He was also previously the managing principal of the Prairie & Wetland Center in Belton, Missouri, the largest agricultural producer of native wildflowers, grasses, trees, and shrubs in the Midwest. He began his career as a wetland scientist with a local environmental consultant. At the Prairie & Wetland Center, approximately 1,500 local professionals, homeowners, and students attend classes each month to learn about natural resource protection, creation, restoration, and management.
